BRUSCHETTA BURGER
Comments OffThis is the recipe that landed Tina on Good Morning America with Emerill Lagasse in his “Best Burger in America” contest.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb ground beef
8 tbsp blue cheese
garlic salt
4 tbsp Italian dressing
1 tomato (seeded and diced)
4 tbsp sweet onion (diced)
3 leaves fresh basil (place leaves on top of each other, roll, slice thin)
1 loaf garlic bread
INSTRUCTIONS
Pat out 1/4 lb. ground chuck and make a little well in center.
Put 2 tbsp. blue cheese inside well and bring sides of burger in and make sure to cover over all of cheese with burger or it will leak out.
Pat out a little more and sprinkle with garlic salt.
Cook burgers on grill or stove grill (try to only turn once to seal in juices and keep blue cheese from leaking out).
While burgers are cooking, mix onion, basil, tomato and Italian dressing in bowl and let flavors blend.
Right before burgers are done, cut bread into fourths and cook on baking sheet according to directions.
To plate, place bread garlic sides of both pieces up then burger (cut burger down center just a little to let cheese ooze out) then top with bruchetta topping.
