GABBY’S FAVORITE CHILI MAC

Gabby really loves helping out in the kitchen.  After scouring the cabinets for something to make for dinner I started throwing some things in a pan and this is what I came up with.

1 lb. ground beef

1/2 cup onion, diced

1/2 cup red/yellow or orange pepper, diced

1 clove garlic, minced

1 14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes

1 14.5 oz. can tomato sauce

2 tsp. chili powder

1 tsp. cumin

1 tsp. salt

1 tbsp. brown sugar

4 cups macaroni, precooked

2 cups shredded Mexican style cheese

Brown ground beef with onion, peppers and garlic.

When beef is cooked and vegetables tender add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spices and brown sugar.  Simmer for 15 minutes.

Cook macaroni, al dente and drain. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.

Add macaroni to sauce mixture and combine.  Place in 9X13 pan coated with cooking spray.

Cover with cheese and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and chili mac is heated through.
