This isn’t that stuff you throw in boiling water from a frozen pouch.  Just as easy to make and tastes much better.  A great comfort food and one of my favorites.

1/4 cup butter

1/3 cup flour

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

1 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup pimientos

4 oz. mushrooms, sliced

1 3/4 cup milk

2 cups chicken, poached and shredded

Toast points

In saucepan melt butter.  Whisk in flour, salt and pepper.  Add milk and chicken broth at once, whisk until thick and bubbly.  Stir in chicken, pimento and mushrooms; heat through.  Serve over toast points.
